Meet the founder: Umenwofor Somto Michael
TheCEOApp team ·
Umenwofor Somto Michael, titled Ozo Nnanyelugo, is the founder and chief executive officer of TheCEOApp. Somto started the company, The CEO App Online Services Ltd, in Awka, Anambra State, to give Nigerian business owners one simple app for the work they do every day.
TheCEOApp's mission, in the team's words, is to give businesses powerful tools that stay simple: tools that help them grow, whether they are just starting out or looking to scale.
Why TheCEOApp exists
Most small businesses in Nigeria still run on notebooks, memory and WhatsApp chats. Sales go unrecorded, debts get forgotten and nobody is sure what is left in stock. TheCEOApp brings those things into one app that works the way Nigerian businesses already work: receipts on WhatsApp, sales you can say out loud, prices in naira, and an app that keeps working when the network goes.
What the company has built
- TheCEOApp on the web at theceoapp.com, and as apps for Android (Google Play) and iPhone (App Store).
- A setup for 187 kinds of business, from pharmacies and salons to bukas, schools, churches and building materials dealers.
- Ceopay, a business account inside the app, with the bank partner SafeHaven.
- Recording sales by voice in English and Pidgin, receipts on WhatsApp, offline selling, a design studio and an online shop for every business.
